The Professionals at Remuera Golf Club are passionate about the game of golf and look forward to helping you to achieve your personal goals in the great game.

Remuera Golf Club is a private club, however visitors are welcome to have lessons here and view the range of premium products available in the Pro Shop.

Our lesson packages are flexible and can be custom built to suit your goals and time allocation.

All of our lesson packages are inclusive of unlimited golf balls during the lesson, the use of video analysis, and any written material. We stock top brands including Callaway, TaylorMade, Cleveland, Ping, FootJoy, Ecco and Puma.

Visitors to Remuera Golf Club are required to comply with the dress regulations of the Club. Details of the regulations can be found on the Club's website.

Stephen Hinds: Head Golf Professional, Remuera Golf club

Stephen has extensive coaching experience, being a member of the PGA for 30 years. His background includes roles as Assistant Coach at the National Coaching School and coaching Northland & Auckland Regional Development Schools. His knowledge of the golf swing is well respected by his peers.

Stephen's experience has taken juniors to represent New Zealand at National level. Currently he is working with all levels of golfers from Touring Pro's to the beginner.

Gerald Nathan, Teaching Professional

NZ PGA (Class - Full AA)

Since turning pro in 2000, Gerald has been based at the Remuera Golf Club as one of the club's teaching professionals. During that time, he has consistently played on the New Zealand Pro-Am circuit as well as teaching a large client base of club members and and non club members. Over the last 20+ years, 12 as an amateur and 8 as a professional, Gerald has immersed himself in the game of golf. In that time, he has gleaned much knowledge from coaches and associates including Messieurs MacDonald, Tongue and Hinds. He has also played with and competed against many of New Zealand's top amateurs and professionals.

This experience, combined with the knowledge he has gained from studying the golf swing, has contributed to Gerald's professional yet relaxed and friendly coaching style. This style enables Gerald to bring the best out of his pupils and maximise their learning potential.

Gareth has been playing golf for the last 15 years. He has been working for Head Professional Stephen Hinds 5 years and is currently completing his NZ PGA traineeship at Remuera Golf Club.

• Monday - 5.30pm-7.00pm
• Tuesday - 5.30pm-7.00pm
• Thursday - 5.30pm-7.00pm
• Other times available: Saturday - 2.30pm-5.00pm

Individual lesson rate - $50 per half hour
Group lesson rate - $35 per person (max of 4 people). Group lessons are 1 hour in duration.

Vicki Aitken Consultancy - Sports Psychology

BA, PGDipPE, MPhEd; BASES Accredited; Member of SESNZ - Sport Psychology Consultant with 7 years experience working on the Ladies European Tour services include:

One-to-one sessions (1 hour) working in private or a quiet corner of the Café, or on the range or practice areas. 
Initial session (1.5 hours) will involve an assessment of your strengths and weaknesses where after Vicki will outline what areas need to be worked on and how many sessions this may take.  Sessions may include:
o Refining your pre-shot and pre-putt routines, 
o Improving your confidence or concentration,
o Helping you control your anxiety so that it helps not hinders your performance,
o Manage your anger and frustration more effectively,
o Increase your motivation, and help you enjoy your golf more! 
o She can also help you take your performance to the next level....such as breaking that illusive handicap or score barrier!
On course sessions are also available as part of an on-going sport psych programme - where Vicki observes your psychological tool application (ie your self talk, pre- shot routines etc) and course management.  Feedback is given sometimes during but always after the round as is most appropriate.

Groups Sessions and Workshops for a group of friends through to pennant and development teams or junior, senior, ladies or men's sections or entire clubs.   Vicki covers a variety of topics to suit your group's interests or needs.
