Remuera hosted the final round of Handicap Pennants on Sunday with our team having a bye.  Conditions improved after an early shower and were ideal as the morning progressed.

 

Maungakiekie consolidated their position at the top of the table and secured a solid 5-3 win over Royal Auckland to finish 3pts clear.  The battle was for the final semi-final place between Clarks Beach (playing Maramarua) and Onewhero (playing Formosa).  The final placings were in doubt right up to the final matches with Clarks Beach drawing with Maramarua 4-4 and that was enough to finish 2nd by 1.5 pts.

Maungakiekie will play their semi-finals at The Grange on Sunday May 12th against Akarana and Titirangi respectively.  The winners will meet at Remuera on the following Sunday.
