There was good news from our Presidents and Captains Pennants teams on Sunday with both teams making the semi-finals.

 

Presidents at Titirangi secured a hard fought 4-4 draw against the leaders from The Grange.  This result ensured that The Grange went directly to the final at Remuera as the round robin winners.  It also ensured that Remuera got a semi-final place against Pakuranga at Pakuranga on Sunday May 12th.  Scores & results:

James Eng - 79 lost 1 down

Cam MacKenzie - 73 winning 2up

Ross Valentine - 74 winning 2/1

James Ashwin - 78 lost 3/2

Dell Bain - 73 lost 1 down

Mike Bartlett - 84 and lost 7/6

Ian Braddock - 72 winning 5/4

Captains at Manukau defeated Maramarua 6-2 and also secured their semi-final place against Pakuranga at Akarana on the same day.  The winner of this match will play Onewhero at Remuera the following Sunday.

 

The squads for these matches will be announced on Monday May 6th - we wish them the best of luck.  It would be great to have 2 teams playing in finals day at home on May 19th.
