On Wednesday the qualifying round for the St Andrews Village Vets Cup was played.  The 16 qualifiers in order are: Colin Smith, Brooke Hibberdine, George York, Brett Morpeth, Mike Hearn, Graham Miller, Kevin Long, Ivan Letica, John Fullford, Robin Bone, James Peoples, Ross Warman, Dan Kearney, Ean Pike, Vasu Hatangadi, Peter Healey and Peter Winter.  The Match Play rounds start this Wednesday.

 

On Saturday the Booth Cup 2nd Round was played with the qualifiers being Thai Leng (Gross) on 73. The Net qualifiers were Cameron Turner (63) and Rob Eng (64).  The reserves were Karl Jorgensen (Gross), David Burns and Jits Doolabh (Net).

 

On Anzac Day the annual Ambrose event will be held.  This year it is sponsored by Asahi Beer.  A very full field is hoping for good weather!  Saturday is the Presidents Foursomes - 2 rounds starting at 8.30am (morning) and 12.15pm (afternoon).  This year the event is preceded by a buffet breakfast @ $15 per head - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, toast/jam, tea/coffee!

 

The Bissett Shield and Presidents return to action at Akarana on Sunday.  The final round of round-robin is at Remuera on Sunday May 7th.  The course is closed to other play on this day.
