The weather turned from magnificent for the Masters Games to truly appalling for the Presidents Foursomes on Saturday.  Rain on & off all day didn't stop some teams from good scoring though.  The morning leaders were Geoff Hamilton/Barry Hall (41pts) and Mike Collins/Mike Maingay (40pts).  However neither of them could repeat the effort in the afternoon.  The afternoon scoring was generally better despite the worsening weather.  Colin Smith/Dean Palmer and Thai Leng/Alex Bagley (43pts) pipped Mark Morphy/Dave Spangenberg (41pts).

The overall winners were Colin Smith/Dean Palmer (78pts); Thai Leng/Alex Bagley (77pts) just pipped Mark Morphy/Dave Spangenbergy (77pts) on a countback for the runners up spot.

The morning winners were Geoff Hamilton/Barry Hall, while the afternoon winners were David Stewart/Robin Bone (38pts) - overall winners can't also win the afternoon or morning prizes.

The next 2 weekends we have the Waiatarua Trophy - a drawn pairs event (combined stableford).  And on Sunday May 7th we host the final round of Men's Pennants - Bissett Shield & Presidents in the morning; Vice Captains and Inter Club Division II in the afternoon.
