The first challenge has been logged by Karl Jorgensen who misses the qualifying round as he is playing for the Auckland Juniors against Wellington in Taupo this weekend.  Challenges may be placed with John Sims by email or phone - johns@remueragolfclub.com, or 021 229 8557.  A log is being kept of the challenges to ensure that all juniors will get the opportunity to participate.

 

Each Saturday the holder is obliged to accept the next challenge.  If they cannot play on the Saturday the challenge will be played by the top 2 players on the challenge list.

 

Barfoot & Thompson Meadowbank will also sponsor our Junior Closing Day - a junior/guest event.  Each junior will be able to invite a guest - father/mother/grandparent/brother/sister/friend.  The holder of the Junior Challenge Cup at the end of the year will hold it until Opening Day the next year.  A new competition will start with another qualifying round on Net Medal.  At the Closing Day event the sponsor will provide lunch and drinks for the Juniors.  The club greatly appreciates this support from Barfoot & Thompson Meadowbank.  We are sure that this will maintain Remuera's position as the strongest junior club in Auckland.

 

Congratulations to Andrew Meng, Connor Barker and Karl Jorgensen who are representing Auckland in the annual match against Wellington at Taupo this weekend.  Andrew and Connor are in the Auckland Senior team, while Karl is in the Junior team.  Play well, boys.
