Top Cat results

The final round of the 2017 Top Cat was played on the 8 November in surprisingly good conditions despite the forecast and a sprinkling of rain.

Congratulations to Sabra Davies and Leanne Bode who played well to retain the lead that they had going into the day.

Best 3 of 5 rounds:

1st: Sabra Davies/Leanne Bode 63 points

2nd: Barbara Simpson/ Sarah Fyfe 62 points

3rd=: Jo Cahill/Robyn Thomas & Jo Hollies/Shirley Morrison 56 points

End of year celebration

Our end of year celebration is scheduled for Weds 6 Dec. The day will start with a fun competition in the morning followed by a Xmas lunch in the clubhouse. The cost is $25 per head (plus a cash bar for drinks). Please pay either Sarah Fyfe or Sabra Davies in cash or, alternatively, email sarah@acg.co.nz for internet payment details. (Apologies for a succession of emails with incorrect account details!) Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten free, vegan etc), when you pay, so that we can cater for this. Members are welcome to attend the lunch even if they do not play golf beforehand. We would appreciate payment by 30 November so that we can confirm numbers. WE WELCOME ESPECIALLY ANY NEW 9 HOLE MEMBERS. THIS WILL BE A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO GET TO KNOW YOU.

“GImmies”

While the rules of Golf do not allow for gimmies (allowing a player a short putt without them playing it) we have all offered our playing partners these, at some stage, in order to maintain speed of play. However, please note that the accepted guideline for these is no more than the length of the grip on your putter and GIMMIES ARE NOT ALLOWED ON COMPETITION DAYS.
