On Sunday 32 visitors from Mt Maunganui travelled up for the annual fixture.  Conditions were close to perfect, bearing in mind the forecast had not been good earlier in the week.  The Remuera results were:

Women - Julie Hawkes (40), Ann Bone (37) and Judy Purchase (37)

Men - Andrew King (44), Bruce Jeffrey (40) and Robin Bone (39).

Eva Huang (3rd) and Margaret Ward-Holmes (8th) won nearest the Pin prizes.

 

Overall Remuera's average stableford was 32.13 - beaten by Mt Maunganui on 32.41!  Couldn't get that much closer.  Johnny Fullford presented the trophy to Wayne Ashworth - a great days golf and a lot of fun. 

 

Put a date in your diary for the return match - Sunday February 25th which is just after Mt Maunganui host the Grant Clements Memorial Trophy so the course should be in mint condition (as it was here!)
