All the teams were in action on Sunday, and except for the Captains team they will not be playing again until April 22nd.  The Bissett Shield team were at Pukekohe to play Titirangi, always a strong team at this level.  Wins to Brad Heaven, James Eng, Mathew Weir & Scott Robertson were added to by a half from James Ashwin.  James' half was hard earned, needing an eagle on the final hole - par 5 18th!  Royal Auckland/Grange beat Akarana & Pukekohe beat Whitford Park, with a draw between Maungakiekie & Howick.  This leaves our team still top (29pts) just ahead of Royal Auckland/Grange (28.5).  Akarana and Maungakiekie are a further 5 & 7 pts back respectively.  With 2 rounds to go (at Howick & Whitford Park) we will be aiming to finish top and go straight to the final.

At Pakuranga our Presidents team were in for a really tough battle against the home team, who were also top of the division.  Wins to Logan Driver (5/4) and Kahu Tataurangi (2/1) started us off on the right foot but they turned out to be our only wins - but only just!  Tomas Shaw won the 18th hole to get a half, while Michael Bartlett played par golf in losing 1 down.  Our 2.5pts kept us in a T3rd, well behind Pakuranga.  Our next match is against Titirangi (also T3rd) at Windross Farm - a win is vital to help get us a semi-final slot.

After a stumble in the previous round the Captains team was back to winning ways with a convincing 7-1 win over Titirangi at Whitford Park.  The winners were Michael Maingay, David Annan (first game), Michael Tran, David Whittaker, Chris Blair, James Brown (another first gamer), and Vincent Vuillard.  Congratulations, guys.  This leaves them 1.5pts behind Chamberlain Park at the top of the table.  Next up is Whitford Park at Wattle Downs after Easter.

The Inter Club 2 team lost 3-5 to Pakuranga at Pakuranga.  Wins to Steve Callinan, David Pakieto and Alex McKay and leaves us mid-table, 4.5pts from a semi-final slot and only 2 rounds less.  The Inter Club 3 team scrapped out a 4-4 draw, with the winners - Andy Kelly, David Evans, Igor Ivanov and David Pedersen.  This team is now nearly 6pts off a play-off place and will need 2 big wins in the last 2 rounds.
