Tee Sheet – Bookings, Alterations, Cancellations & No Shows

Remuera is one of the busiest courses in New Zealand and on many days our tee sheets show as heavily booked. However there are numerous occurrences where very late alterations, cancellations and no shows create empty tee slots. We understand that there will always be late changes to someone’s schedule necessitating a late cancellation or alteration.

Taking these situations into account we ask that our members observe the following in regards tee bookings:

· Cancel or alter your booking as soon as you know that a change is necessary, preferably 48 hours before the tee time.

· Do not make bookings for players that you know will not be playing simply to reserve the slot. If a booking is made in your name by someone else it is your responsibility to remove your name if you cannot play.

· Do not make alterations to your playing groups on the day without notifying the Golf Shop. Groups that do this have often left other members playing alone or as a 2-ball.

We also remind players of these responsibilities:

· Report to the Golf Shop and print a card before teeing off. This is partly a Health & Safety requirement if we need to clear the course or contact a member in an emergency.

· New Zealand Golf requires that players return a card every time they play to maintain the integrity of the handicapping system. If you play a minimum of 7 holes, you return a 9-hole score. If you play a minimum of 13 holes you should return an 18-hole score.

· Do not simply walk on to the course at any point and play a few holes before our first tee time or during the day if there is an apparent gap in the field.

· Adhere to the tee time and start hole as appears on your score card. Playing out of order or from a different tee often causes congestion unnecessarily.

· Be ready to tee off from your start tee at least 9 minutes before your tee time.

The Golf Shop are tracking “no shows” and very late cancellations. If a name appears regularly in these lists the member will be asked to provide a reasonable explanation. The club reserves the right to place booking and/or playing restrictions on repeat offenders.
