The Captains team were the only side in play over the weekend as they made up their rained out day at Wattle Downs.  Alex Bagley and David Annan were first out - Alex looked likely to get a half until his opponent holed a long putt, while David lost 4/3

Robby Turnbull and Michael Tran reversed these two losses with good wins - Michael by 5/3 and Robby by 2/1.  Daniel Whittaker was down early but an eagle on 10th and a birdie on 17th gave him a 2/1 win; while Daniel Freeman lost 2 down after going OB on 16th.

Chris Blair had a big win 7/6 including 3 birdies and James Brown closed out a 3/2 win.

 

Remuera 5-3 over Whitford Park, with other results:

Titirangi 6 - Maramarua 2

Pakuranga 4.5 - Royal Auckland/Grange 3.5

Wattle Downs 5.5 - Chamberlain Park 2.5

 

Remuera now hold a narrow 1pt lead over Chamberlain Park - 27 to 26, with Pakuranga on 23pts.  Remuera play Chamberlain Park in the next round at Titirangi on April 22nd.

 

This will be a vital weekend for our other teams too - Bissett Shield play Pukekohe at Howick needing a good win to take them into the last round against their nearest challengers - Royal Auckland/Grange.  The Presidents team are playing Titirangi at Windross Farm.  They are tied with them in 3rd place - the winner has the best run to a semi final place.
