In the school holidays there are a number of events for junior golfers around this part of the country.  On Wednesday last week the David Levene Classic was played at Royal Auckland/Grange.  We had a number juniors in the field with Daniel Freeman the stand-out performance.  His 41pts saw him finish Runner Up in the Stableford competition.  His gross score of 69 won the day overall.  Congratulations, Daniel.

 

Daniel, Robby Turnbull, Hugh Lee and Karl Jorgensen all represented Auckland in a Development event in Te Puke on Monday & Tuesday last week.  They played against North Harbour, Waikato and Bay of Plenty with the 10-man team finishing 3rd over the 2 days.

 

The Meadowbank Barfoot & Thompson Challenge Cup resumes on Saturday with Harrison Bright to defend against Karl Jorgensen.
