Interclub Results

Our last 9 hole ladies interclub was played at home yesterday in fine but cold and muddy conditions and Remuera secured a good win against Windross Farm 23 holes to 13. We managed to secure 2 outright wins and 2 matches halved which was a great result. There is still one match between two of our opposition to play, but Remuera has a very good chance of making the playoffs. Our thanks to all those who have played.

Ground Under Repair

Ground Under Repair is usually marked with a sign 'GUR' and/or a white line indicating the GUR area.

Local rules on the back of the card also show features to be regarded as GUR. If your ball is in GUR, without penalty you may take a drop within one club length of the nearest point of relief no closer to the hole. If a bunker has a notice in it saying GUR then you may play your shot from out of the bunker again at the nearest point of relief AND no closer to the hole. If the bunker has water in it but no GUR sign you need to move your ball to another part of the bunker where there is sand and play the shot from within the bunker

Ball Identification

It's a good idea to mark your ball with your own identification mark using a permanent marker. Before tee offing , tell your group what ball you will be playing (eg Topflite 5) & what your marking is.
