This event is now only weeks away.  There are now 123 entries for the tournament (132 maximum) and the most recent are 2 of our own players.  Brad Heaven, who so nearly won the NZ Open at Royal Auckland as an amateur has just entered.  And a new professional - Minsoo Ko, who played in our winning Bissett Shield team last year has also joined the field.

 

Also entered are - Michael Hendry, Ryan Fox, Mark Brown, Peter Fowler, David Smail, Gareth Paddison, Richard Lee, Josh Geary, Nick Gillespie, Brad Shilton, Michael Long, and Ben Campbell. There is a huge contingent coming from Australia plus the top 4 players from the Japan tour on their way to the NZ Open in Queenstown the following weekend.

After the recent rain the course will be in fantastic condition and we are certain it will be a great event for the club and golf in the district.  Many clubs are joining us by providing volunteers and promoting their club on the hole that they are looking after.
