We started with a mathematical possibility of making the playoffs but had to win eight nil and have the unbeaten Titirangi also win by the same margin, sadly it wasn’t to be as we finished two points shy of third place.

Playing the bottom placed team who have been under strength all season, we gave it a good shot with seven solid wins but unfortunately Jason Wei couldn’t make it a perfect result.

It was a close competition with only 3 points separating second to sixth. Our season record of 3 wins and 4 losses tells the story as 3 of these losses were only by a half point so if we were only able to convert these into drawn results we would have been in contention.

We used 15 players during the season with five players playing only one match and A J and Dean playing all seven. The best record came from young Andrew Meng who started with a loss but then steadily improved with four wins in a row.
