After winning the Central District 9 Hole Interclub Division Jo Hollies, Cathy Coll, Sarah Fyfe & Leanne Bode represented the Club at Titirangi GC to play in the Auckland Finals where they came 2nd by only 2 points. A great achievement for our 9HW given it is only our second time competing in this competition. Well done ladies.

As all representative teams know it’s all about the team work and it was more than this 4 that got RGC to the finals. Barb Simpson, Suzanne Burns, Jackie Antonievich, Trisha Dickey, Yolande Van De Wetering & Linda Brown also played for this team throughout the year so many thanks to them all for representing the Club so well. Special thanks to Linda Brown who walked with these girls in the final in freezing & wet conditions.

Next year our 9 Hole Interclub squad will have the opportunity to join with the 18H Pennants squad in their preseason coaching and mentoring programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to progress our skills and take advantage of expertise offered by the Club. Any 9HW members interested in being part of the interclub squad for next season, or just finding out more at this stage, are asked to contact Sarah Fyfe sarah@acg.co.nz or 0211284460. We play against friendly opposition in a relaxed and non-threatening environment so don’t be shy. All handicap levels are welcome and useful.
