With the Course now back to ‘normal’, we can only hope this is a good sign for the upcoming spring/summer months!

Next week the Course is closed for coring; however, if you are looking for a competitive game there is an 18-Hole Open at Waikere Golf Club on Monday 24th September and a Women’s Teams Day at Mt Maunganui on the 26th September. Details are in the Locker Room.

The fifth round of Top Cat was played today, and results are as follows:-

1st Pru Robertson & Joyce Tuivakano - 47 Points OCB

2 Wendy Williams & Villia Cheng - 47 Points

3 Shirley Ip & Mitsuko Wada - 45 Points OCB

There were two 2s – Esther Cowper and Anne Lash

With one round left in the competition, the leading pairs are :-

Wendy Williams & Villia Cheng (173 Points)

Pru Robertson & Joyce Tuivakano (168 Points)

Diane Bailey & Rosa Leung (158 Points OCB)

Note: There was a discrepancy in the DotGolf system, which has resulted in some changes in the accumulated results (ie best four rounds to date). This has now been corrected.

Reminders:-

The Entry Sheet for the re-scheduled Teams Day on the 4th October is in the Locker Room – either enter your own Team or add your name and you will be randomly put in a team.

The annual Club Championships are fast approaching – do not be afraid to enter this event! There will be three (or four) divisions, so you will be playing against people on a similar handicap and have the chance to get involved in this prestigious club event. Qualifying is on Tuesday (9th), with the first round of Match-play scheduled for the following Thursday. The next week, matches will be played on Tuesday + Wednesday + the Finals on Thursday with the Club Championships Dinner to follow.

Even if you are not playing in the Club Champs, the dinner is a function everyone is encouraged to attend – note in your diary Thursday, 18th October at 6:30pm.

There is an exciting new event being played for the first time this year – the Inaugural AUCKLAND WOMEN’S MASTERS OPEN STROKE-PLAY CHAMPIONSHIPS. This will be held at the Akarana Golf Club on Monday 26 November and is open to all players 40yrs+. Full details are on a poster in the Locker Room.
