The Davie McGuire Trophy was played on Saturday in excellent spring golf conditions.  This is a combined stableford event.  There were 46 teams in the contest with only 4 teams posting scores better than 72pts.

 

3 teams tied for 2nd place - John Harvey/John Johnson, Barry Hall/Michael Collins and Keith Aitchison/Colin McGowan all on 73pts.  However the team of Mike Hyams/John Sims posted 40pts on the front nine holes and 36pts on the back to win by 3pts.

 

This week we have coring and our next event is 2 weeks away - the qualifying for the Captains Prize on October 6th.  Qualifying is net medal with the top 32 players going into the match play rounds.  Players in 33rd-48th will qualify for the General Managers Prize match play rounds.
