Spring is here and with the warmer weather we will see our 9HW mornings getting a lot busier. To keep the field moving as quickly as possible it’s important to make sure you are ready to tee off at least 10mins before your scheduled time.

Club Champs Monday 15 October and Wednesday 17 October
What a great response we are getting from our ladies with regards to the Club Champs. For the last couple of years we have only just made double figures so to see 30 + entries already is very positive. This is played across two rounds with a Best Gross and Best Nett winner. The winners will be awarded their prizes at the Club Champs Dinner on Thursday 18 October. The Best Gross winner is invited to play in the Champion of Champions on Monday 5 November at Onewhero Golf Course. We are still hoping to encourage more entries so put your name down on the entry sheet in the locker room or alternatively contact sabra@cosmouv.co.nz ENTRIES CLOSE 8 OCTOBER

“Rules Refresher” Wednesday 10 October 11.30am
Steph has kindly offered to present a refresher session on some of the more basic rules prior to the Club Champs. This will take place following next Wednesdays game at 11.30 and we would like to encourage all those entered in the competition to attend but of course anyone is welcome on the day.

Interclub 2019
Next year our 9 Hole Interclub squad will have the opportunity to join with the 18H Pennants squad in their preseason coaching and mentoring programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to progress our skills and take advantage of expertise offered by the Club. Any 9HW members interested in being part of the interclub squad for next season, or just finding out more at this stage, are asked to contact Sarah Fyfe sarah@acg.co.nz or 0211284460. We play against friendly opposition in a relaxed and non-threatening environment so don’t be shy. All handicap levels are welcome and useful.

Open Days
It is great to see a number of our 9HW venturing out to play other clubs around Auckland either for 9 or 18 Holes. Prior to Christmas there are a few Open Days scheduled. They are a lot of fun and a good chance to challenge yourself, play different courses and meet other ladies. Diary the dates, have a chat to your playing pals and consider putting a team together. Tee off time is usually a shotgun start at 9.30 but keep an eye on the noticeboard for details.
