Remuera had 3 players representing Auckland last weekend at the Garrard Shield and Ralph Cup in Waipu.  This is an annual quadrangular event between Auckland, Northland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty.  It is also a lead-in event to the Toro Inter Provincial which will be held at Clearwater later in the month.

 

Connor Barker and James Eng were members of the Men's team - Connor won all his 3 matches while James won 2 and lost 1.  The Senior team beat Northland 7.5-0.5, Waikato and Bay of Plenty 6-2 each to win the trophy for the first time in 17 years.

 

Robby Turnbull travelled as our reserve for the Junior team and due to injury played in all the matches, winning all 3.  The Juniors beat Northland and Waikato 4-0, and Bay of Plenty 3-1 to win the Ralph Cup.

 

Connor Barker was then selected in the 6-man team for the Toro Inter Provincials tournament.  Congratulations, guys.
