NINE HOLE WOMEN’S OPEN DAYS

Whitford Park Golf Club – 11 April. 9.30am shotgun start. Please note entry for this Open Day closes tomorrow, Wednesday 3rd April. Anyone wishing to play in this who hasn’t put their name on the Entry Sheet please contact Jo Hollies 021 630608 or Linda Brown 021 1215252. Also, those who have entered but have not yet paid please either bring $15 cash this Wednesday and pay Jo or Linda (neither of us will be present at the open day), or deposit to Jo’s account 03-0195-0367880-00 so payment can be made to Whitford when the entries are lodged.

Maxwell’s Golf Ladies Day Thursday 18th April 9.30am shotgun start. $20 Entry Fee. As entries for this are limited to 36 players in total, please enter directly by emailing Kaye Maxwell kaye@maxwellsgolf.co.nz with your name and golf number, and pay the $20 fee into Maxwell’s account 12-3025-0471611-00 with your name and Remuera as reference. Entries close 10th April or as soon as the 36 places are filled so if you want to take part, book as soon as you can.

Wattle Downs Golf Club – 9 May

Pukekohe Golf Club – 16 May

Entry sheets for these last two still to be received.

Please remember anyone entering in an Open Day is welcome to borrow a Remuera badged shirt for the occasion. Please contact Jo Hollies (021 630608) or Linda Brown (021 1215252) to arrange this. This is not compulsory (feel free to wear your own if you prefer) but it has been noticed that other clubs all seem to enjoy entering into the spirit of the occasion by wearing a team shirt.

CHARITY DAY – Tuesday 16 April

The Women’s Committee is arranging a Women’s Charity Day in support of the Halberg Foundation. This is an 8am shotgun start, 18 Hole Pinehurst (also known as American) Foursomes, with a $20 pp entry fee and plenty of prizes. This will be a combined event for both 18 Hole and nine hole players with handicaps below 40.4 eligible to enter. You will be able to enter as a pair, or on your own and pairs will be made up mixing nine and 18 Hole players together. Register by putting your name down on the Entry Sheet in the Locker Room (on a clipboard) and pay your entry fee in the Pro Shop. All funds raised will go to the Halberg Foundation.

HANDICAP MATCHPLAY COMPETITION

Entries have now closed. There is a briefing session after golf tomorrow (Wednesday approx. 11.15) when Sarah Fyfe will explain how Matchplay games are played and scored. We will have a written guide for those unfamiliar with the rules and will email this to anyone on request. This briefing will be held regardless of weather.

CORING WEEK

The course will be closed for coring from Monday, 8 April to Friday, 12 April. However, on Monday, 8th the Nine Hole Ladies have been allocated a 9am start time on the Driving Range to use the new Top Tracer facility in groups of three or four. Each group will be allocated a bay number. Book as you would for a tee time on Dotgolf – there is a $10 per person charge payable at the pro shop on the day and there are still some places available. Golf Club staff will be there to help. The café will be open as usual so you can finish your session off with the usual refreshments.
