9 Hole Ladies Golf Update
With most of you having a week off from golf last week hopefully you have come out swinging this week and are making up for lost time!
Congratulations to our Pennant team (Suzanne Burns, Linda Brown, Jo Hollies and Jane Beveridge; all supported on the day by Sarah Fyfe) who played at Wattle Downs Golf Club last Thursday. Despite the atrocious conditions the girls endured for part of their game they came out clear winners with an overall score of 23 ½ to Wattle Downs’ 12 ½. Well done girls.
Also, across town eight of our members were playing at Whitford Park Golf Club’s Nine Hole Open Day. Congratulations to Clare Gallie who won the prize for Nearest the Pin. Well done Clare. The weather wasn’t too bad at Whitford and the girls enjoyed their day and the course.

NINE HOLE WOMEN’S OPEN DAYS
Wattle Downs Golf Club – Thursday, 9 May The Entry Sheet for this is now on the noticeboard. This is a pleasant and very flat course in the Manurewa area. It is also one of the clubs our pennant team play in the Triangular series each year so it would be great if we could get some members to support their Open Day.
Pukekohe Golf Club – Thursday, 16 May Entry sheet for this is also now on the noticeboard. Pukekohe is a very popular course and well worth the drive if you are considering whether to play or not.
HANDICAP MATCHPLAY COMPETITION
Good luck to all the girls who are participating in this inaugural competition for the Nine Hole Ladies. Win or lose, we hope you all enjoy the experience!
