The first 2 rounds of the Men's Stroke Play Championships were played on the weekend in very tough conditions - strong winds (Saturday) followed by more strong winds and heavy showers on Sunday!!

 

Michael Egan and Ron Reed will battle out the final round of the D Grade Champs as they hold a 14 shot lead over John Childerhouse & Mike Hyams.  In the C Grade it looks like Peter Kusabs will have to "choke" as he has a 15 shot lead over Murray Hieatt & Ken Taylor.

 

In the Junior Grade John Johnson has a 5 shot lead over Brian Biggs & Bobby Schoonraad, with Tada Wada & Richard Garland another shot back.  

 

The Intermediate Grade is much closer.  Harry Driver was the only player to shoot under 80 with a first round 76, but his 93 yesterday has moved him back into the field.  Oliver Foote has a narrow 1 shot lead over Steve Eddy & Barry Hall, with Mark Carroll another shot back going into the final round on Saturday.
