The Championship 1 team turned a close contest with Titirangi at home on Sunday morning into a comprehensive team win (6-2) over the back nine holes.  Good wins to Matt Evans (4/3) and Logan Driver (4/3) were backed up by Jaime Lansi (1Up), Robby Turnbull (1Up), Manu Taylor (2Up) and Kahu Tataurangi (1Up).  This all but guarantees them a spot in the semi-final as they are 7.5pts clear of their nearest challenger.

In Championship 2 they also put the foot down on the back nine and came away with a good 5-3 win over the leaders from Pukekohe.  Wins were recorded by Stephen Callinan (2/1), Daniel Mar (1Up), Finlay McKechnie (4/3), Daniel Whittaker (3/2) and Michael Bartlett (3/1).  They are firmly in contention for a semi final spot with their remaining match against Titirangi at Titirangi next Sunday.  It's a simple equation - win the match and the team is in the semi-final.

The Bissett Shield team has some work to do in their final match against Royal Auckland/Grange at home on Sunday.  A 3-5 loss to Pakuranga means a good win over RAGGC is vital.  Wins on Sunday to Scott Robertson, Nathan Smith and Daniel Freeman weren't enough and leave us with much to do on Sunday.

The Inter Club 3 team posted a massive 7.5-0.5 win over Titirangi.  The first matches out were all pretty close, but the later matches all established big leads and this confidence began to spread through the team.  Mike Hyams and Mike Hearn both won 2/1, and then Cameron Pocock chipped in on the final hole for a half to complete the rout.  Kailesh Patel won 5/4, Chris Hanley 3/2, Peter McCormack 2/1, David Annan 5/3 and Wayne Scholtz 4/3.  They are now in a very strong position to secure a semi-final spot with their final match at Maungakiekie.

The Inter Club 2 team played Clarks Beach at Clarks Beach.  David Evans (4/2), Igor Ivanov (5/4) and Angus Mackie (1Up) were the winners with a half from John Etzine completing the scoring.  A good win over Wattle Downs at home this Sunday would also probably see them into the semi-finals.
