The D Grade Match Play final was completed on Saturday - the morning was windy but dry, the afternoon saw squally, cold showers and strong winds making good golf really difficult. Keith McCracken won the first 2 holes in the morning but by the turn Peter Healy had it back to all square. From the 12th Keith went on a winning run and was 5up by the end of the morning round.
The afternoon round started with heavy rain and after 5 holes Keith still led by 5 holes. At this point Peter conceded the match to Keith rather than continue in very unpleasant conditions. Congratulations, Keith.
The Winter Cup qualifiers were dominated by the morning field who certainly had the best of the conditions. Grant Marshall, Alex Ivanov, Ross Pickett, Mariano Fernandez, Igor Ivanov, Cam MacKenzie, Peter Winter, Nick Lovegrove, Alex Bagley, Thai Leng, Erik Jorgensen, John Ter Morshuizen, Andrew King, Mike Maingay, Peter McCormack and Brooke Hibberdine start match play this Sunday.
