Only 2 of our Youth Pennants were in action on Sunday at home. Remuera3 beat Howick 4-0 with Karl Jorgensen and Mary Chen benefiting from no-shows getting a walkover each. Jaime and Jose Lansi took full advantage of the bonus and comfortably beat their opponents by 4/3 and 4/2 respectively.
Our Remuera1 team lost to Pakuranga 1-3 with Andrew Meng getting the only win. Robby Turnbull and Josh Brazendale both lost on the penultimate, while Nathan Smith was well beaten in his match. The points are:
Royal Auckland 8 - Remuera3 & Pakuranga 7 - Remuera2 5.5 - Remuera1 4.5 - Howick 3 - Whitford Park 1. This Sunday we are at Royal Auckland (they will have their bye) so it is a big chance to pass them going into the last few rounds.
In Division 2 both our teams had byes and both teams will play at Titirangi this Sunday in their second-to-last matches. The team in Section B still has a chance to make the final but will need a good win against Royal Auckland. Section A is playing the top team from Whitford Park.
