The course was closed last Monday, Tuesday, most of Thursday and Friday through Sunday! It was as though the week never happened. The 3rd Round of the Booth Cup will be rescheduled as soon as the weather forecast gives us some hope for better playing conditions.
A few of our players were at Waipu over the weekend for the annual Bream Bay Classic. Connor Barker was our best performer 229 (T12th). Other players were Brad Winger 236, Rakesh Patel (237), and Chris Thomas 242. The winner was Luke Brown from Muriwai on 214.
The Youth Pennant rounds over the weekend were postponed at Remuera and Whitford Park and will be played after the school holidays. However Section B of Division 2 was played at Pakuranga with Remuera beating Titirangi 2.5-0.5. Great wins to Cody Mitchell (10/8) and Toby Horan (7/5) were backed up by Mia Collins half to give the team an overall win. The section was won by the Franklin team who finished well clear.
