The 36 hole Captains Prize Final was held on Saturday between Keith Aitchison and Michael Collins.  Keith and Michael had reached the final with wins over Duncan Shand (5/3) and Keith McCracken (2/1) respectively in their semi-finals.

 

After 9 holes in the morning Keith held a narrow 1up lead going into the back nine.  He gradually extended this lead to take a 3up lead into the lunch break.  Michael worked his way back into the match and by the 14th hole in the afternoon round he was back to all square.  Extra holes were a distinct possibility - something which neither player would have been particularly keen on.  Keith won the final hole to secure a very tight 1up win and take the Captains Prize for 2020.
