Nine Hole Ladies Weekly Wrap for Tuesday, 23 April

9 Hole Ladies Golf Update

Hopefully you all had a relaxing and enjoyable Easter. Some of you may have even been able to take advantage of the stunning weather to fit in a game of golf.

CHARITY DAY

Quite a few of our 9HW joined the 18 holers for the Charity Day last Tuesday. It was a beautiful and successful day with over $3,500 being raised for the Halberg Foundation. Our girls did well, with five players (along with their 18hole partners) receiving prizes. Special thanks to Suzanne Burns and Jane Beveridge who did a great job as volunteers manning the gambling hole.

ST. ANDREWS ECLECTIC

We will be running two Eclectic competitions this year sponsored by St Andrews Retirement Village. You can enter either one or both if you wish (Both require an entry fee of $5).

Best individual hole scores are recorded throughout the year for each entrant (by Dotgolf) with prizewinners being announced at the end of the year.

Monday Eclectic – This is played on all Mondays throughout the year when the full course is in play, commencing Monday 29 April. There is a one-off entry fee of $5 payable in the pro shop on the first day (or if you are unable to play on the 29th April pay your entry fee on the first Monday following the 29th when you do play). Dotgolf records your first score and every round you play on a Monday your eclectic score is updated automatically, showing the lowest score you have played on each hole. You can keep track of your best scores by checking “My Competitions” in Dotgolf. Similarly, Wednesday Eclectic - This is played on all Wednesdays throughout the year when the full course is in play, commencing Wednesday 24 April. There is a one-off entry fee of $5 payable in the pro shop on the first day (or if you are unable to play on the 24th April pay your entry fee on the first Wednesday following the 24th when you do play). Dotgolf records your first score and every round you play on a Wednesday your eclectic score is updated automatically, showing the lowest score you have played on each hole. You can keep track of your best scores by checking “My Competitions” in Dotgolf.

Please note entry for this competition is totally voluntary.

TOPCAT – Second round next Monday, 29th April.

SCRAMBLE DATES

The last Scramble for April is tomorrow, 24th.

May Scramble dates are Monday 13th and 27th and Wednesday 8th and 22nd.

NINE HOLE WOMEN’S OPEN DAYS

Wattle Downs Golf Club – Thursday, 9 May The Entry Sheet for this is on the noticeboard. This is an easy and very flat course in the Manurewa area. It is also one of the clubs our pennant team play in the Triangular series each year, so it would be great if we could get some members to support their Open Day.

Pukekohe Golf Club – Thursday, 16 May Entry Sheet for this is also on the noticeboard. Pukekohe is a very popular course and well worth the drive if you are considering whether to play in this.
