The Bissett Shield team had their first home match on Sunday against Pakuranga.  After a good 5-3 win over Royal Auckland/Grange at Howick in the first round, they backed it up with an excellent 6-2 win.  It was very tight after 9 holes but a lot of matches turned in our favour on the back 9.  Wins to Daniel Freeman, James Eng, Matthew Cormack, Tomas Shaw, Nathan Smith & Thai Leng.  Remuera and Akarana have had 2 wins each and play each other in a key game at Remuera this Sunday morning.

 

The Championship 1 team had a huge win over Royal Auckland/Grange at Howick by 7-1.  Some of the matches were convincing wins too - Kahu Tataurangi, Andrew Hipkiss, Robby Turnbull, Karl Jorgensen and Jaime Lansi - plus a narrower win for Manu Taylor.  They play Whitford Park at Remuera this Sunday.

 

The Championship 2 team had a narrow loss (3.5-4.5) against Titirangi at Remuera.  Wins to Daniel Mar, Andrew Millard and Finlay McKechnie with the half to Ian Braddock.  Next up for this team is Chamberlain Park at Chamberlain.

 

Our Inter Club teams had mixed results - Inter Club going down 2-6 at Wattle Downs against the home team.  The only winners were John Etzine & Grant Harford.  The Inter Club 3 team defeated Maungakiekie at home 4.5-3.5, with wins to Eamon Wairepo, Peter McCormack, Chris Hanley & Mike Hearn.  The crucial half was obtained by Kailesh Patel.
