Karl Jorgensen defeated Rebekah Blackwell-Chin in the Challenge Cup on Saturday morning, and finished just 1pt behind Meinke Shi in the 2nd round of the Jarvie Memorial Trophy (stableford round).  Meinke's 37pts was a very good result in windy conditions.  The current standings have been posted in the Locker Rooms, with the final round (single par) to be played this Saturday.

 

The top positions after 2 rounds are held by Sebastian McKenzie & Hannah Murchison (27pts), but a lot of players can take out the overall trophy with a good result this coming Saturday.  Karl Jorgensen (25pts), Chloe Lam (23pts), Jackie Jang (22pts) and James Flay (20pts).

 

Unfortunately none of our players at Muriwai made the 36-hole cut.  Robbie Turnbull missed by 4 shots with Mary Chen, Kahu Tataurangi, Kelly Wu and Grace Rokela further back.  Grace will remember the event positively though after her hole-in-one on the 8th in the 2nd round - congratulations, Grace.
