The Winter Cup Quarter Finals were played over the weekend.  On Friday Andrew "Trapper" Williams beat Mark Boucher 2/1, putting him in line for a match with either Cullam Murchison or Neil Copeland.  On Saturday afternoon Cullam's good form continued and got him through convincingly 5/4.

 

The other matches gave us the potential for a father-son semi final.  James Marshall did his bit by taking care of Paul Hurtley 3/2, but his father, Grant, "choked" (his words!) and lost 1down to Murray Hieatt. 

 

The semi finals this weekend promise to be tight:

Cullam vs Trapper

James vs Murray.

 

This is a 2 round event (consecutive Saturdays).  Entry must be made on-line - www.remueragolfclub.com/mygolf.

Then select "Competition Registration".

 

The entered field is then split in half at the median handicap and the pairs are drawn - one from the top half & one from the bottom half.  It is a combined stableford competition over the 2 rounds.
