The Winter Cup Semi-Finals were held in anything but winter conditions - fine and quite warm.  The lowest handicapper left, Cullam Murchison, had his run stopped by Andrew Williams.  Andrew won 5/3 to progress comfortably to the final this Saturday.  The other match was much closer - between James Marshall & Murray Hieatt.  Murray had beaten James' father, Grant in the quarter final.  He led 2up with 2 to play, and then James took the game to extra holes.  Murray won the match on the first play-off hole to confirm his place in the Final against Andrew Williams.

 

Next event is the Waiatarua Trophy - played over 36-holes on consecutive Saturdays - June 26 and July 3.  This is a drawn pairs event, so entry must be made on-line - www.remueragolfclub.com/mygolf.  Entries close for this event on June 17th.
