Opening Day was played on Sunday morning in perfect conditions although the wind did get up during the morning.  It was an Ambrose event with over 30 teams entered, followed by lunch and the prize giving.  

 

The highlight of the day was Veronica Park's hole-in-one (8th hole) which obviously won her the nearest-the-pin on that hole!  Congratulations, Veronica.  The other spot prizes were won by:

11th hole Nearest the Pin - Cynthia Carnachan

3rd hole Nearest the Pin - Barry Hall

17th hole Nearest the Pin - Alistair Plowman

Women's Longest Drive (12th hole) - Joan Reeves

Men's Longest Drive (12th hole) - Cameron Pocock

 

The Mixed team winners were - Gail MacKenzie, John Mahoney, Bryce & Diane Hawkins, while the Men's winners were - Andrew Lemalu, Gillies Pakieto, Kevin Fairbrother and Lance Andrews.

 

Fine Wine Delivery Co donated 2 magnificent magnums of Gardet for the lucky draw prizes.  These were won by Elsa Berry & John Childerhouse.
