The Presidents Foursomes was finally played on Saturday after earlier cancellation due to the Covid lock-down.  It was certainly a day of 2-halves with the weather, warm & humid in the morning; followed by heavy showers in the afternoon.

As you would expect the scoring was a lot better in the morning round - Larry Sewell/Keith Aitchison (42pts) led by 1pt from Kevin Long/Terry MacDonald (41pts).  Last year's champions (Peter Turner & John Johnson) again started a little slowly with 35pts (T7th) as they did last year.

With the worsening weather during the afternoon a few teams pulled out, particularly the ones "further back in the field".  Peter Turner/John Johnson seem to enjoy the wetter playing conditions (as they did last year) putting together 39pts - the best afternoon score.  While they weren't expecting that to be enough the other teams were stumbling.  At the end they were 2pts ahead of Larry & Keith with 30pts in the afternoon.

Mark Morphy and Mike Hyams were 3pts further back in 3rd place.  The morning round winners were Kevin Long & Terry MacDonald; and the afternoon winners were Dean Palmer & Brett Winstanley.

Congratulations everyone.
