Bissett Shield held Royal Auckland/Grange to 4-4 at Royal Auckland. Wins to Matty Cormack (over Archie Gothard); Robby Turnbull (over Freddie Wolfe), Tomas Shaw (over Michael Clegg) and Rakesh Patel (over Michael Barltrop). This is an excellent result on a course that 3 players had never played before & 3 others only saw it for the first time on Thursday. Well done, guys.

 

Championship 1 defeated Pukekohe 6-2 at home - wins to Logan Driver, Eamon Wairepo, Jaime Lansi, Roger Hudson, Andrew Hipkiss and Bailey Smith. A great start to the defence of this title. Special mention to Logan - an albatross (2) on the par 5 first hole!

 

Championship 2 had a narrow loss (3-5) to Pakuranga at Pakuranga.

 

Inter Club 2 had a huge start with an 8-0 win over Formosa! Awesome start, guys. Some very big wins to Igor Ivanov, Angus Mackie, Alex Ivanov, David Evans, Jason Mar, John Etzine & Grant Harford. Only Darren Soo's match went to the penultimate hole.

 

Meanwhile our Inter Club 3 team also had a win over Whitford Park by 5-3. Good wins to Mike Hyams, Kailesh Patel, Cameron Pocock and David Annan - with halves for Chris Hanley & Dean Palmer.
