The Quarter Finals of the Vets Cup was played on Wednesday with 2 comfortable victories, while the other 2 matches went to the second-to-last hole.

 

Allan McSkimming and Mark Carroll established strong leads over the front nine holes, forcing Bryan Davies and Colin McGowan playing catch-up.  Mark and Allan both completed their victories on the 15th green - Mark by 5/3 and Allan by 4/3. 

 

Keith Aitchison and John Sims both reached the half-way mark in their matches 1up.  On the back nine Keith opened up a 2 hole lead on the 15th, and closed it out on the 17th green for a 2/1 win.  In the final match Warwick and John went to the 16th tee all square, and with Warwick winning both the 16th and 17th that match also finished on the 17th green 2/1 to Warwick.

 

In the semi-finals next Wednesday, it is Mark vs Allan and Warwick vs Keith.
